LADOGA – Irvin Davis, 66, of Ladoga died at 11:40 p.m. Friday at Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Davis had been in failing health for 10 months and seriously ill for two months. He retired from Allison Division of General Motors, Indianapolis, after 17 years’ service. The deceased was a member of the Patriotic Order of the Sons of America. Born on Oct. 12, 1902, in Ladoga, he was the son of Daniel and Mary Hamilton Davis. He was married on Aug. 21, 1922, to Vivian Mae Stamper who survives. The ceremony was held in Danville. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Georgia Swank of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Gene Lane of Ladoga and Mrs. Imogene LaBow of Denver, Colo.; a son, Dan, of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Collins of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Opal Bryant of Santa Ana, Calif., a brother, Kemper, also of Santa Ana; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Gephart Funeral Home at Ladoga with Rev. Don Sharp officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
